From start to finish, this course will break down the process of obtaining, processing, and executing search warrants with a focus on narcotics investigations. Although this course was developed specifically for drug investigations, the techniques and methods instructed can be utilized for all criminal investigations where the need for a Search warrant arises.
Starting with case initiation and developing probable cause, students will learn and develop skills to investigate and articulate facts to obtain a search warrant. This course will then discuss how to conduct a risk assessment so that a safe and legal search warrant may then be executed.
Officers can expect to also learn and develop techniques that will assist them with planning their operation, executing the warrant, and the importance of conducting a debrief. Conducting search warrants often include a very high agency liability and present multiple officer safety concerns. This course aims to better educate law enforcement professionals to conduct these operations both legally and safely. Yellowstone Narcotics proudly guarantees that officers leaving their courses can employ these techniques immediately upon returning to work, and this course is absolutely no different!
